These Video Copyright Rules explain what users may and may not do when uploading, posting, sharing, linking, displaying, promoting, or otherwise using video-related content on E-Global Hive (“E-Global,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
These rules apply together with our Terms of Services, Copyright Policy, Music and Audio Copyright Rules, and any other applicable platform policies.
1. Purpose of These Rules
E-Global is a social media and digital engagement platform that may allow users to upload or use video-related materials in different ways, including creator posts, profile content, promotional content, sharing tools, and linked-content features such as Boost Share.
Because video content often contains multiple protected elements, these rules are intended to help users understand what video content they may use and what conduct is not allowed.
2. What Counts as Video Content
For purposes of these rules, “video content” may include, without limitation:
- full-length videos;
- short-form videos;
- clips and excerpts;
- recorded live sessions or streams;
- screen recordings;
- animations and motion graphics;
- edited or remixed video compilations;
- video previews;
- video thumbnails;
- frames or screenshots taken from videos;
- trailers, teasers, and promotional clips; and
- any other moving-image material used on or through the platform.
These rules may also apply where a user uses video-related materials as part of a linked-content entry, promotional page, preview card, or Boost Share submission.
3. Only Use Video Content You Have Rights to Use
You may only upload, post, share, attach, submit, distribute, display, or otherwise use video content on E-Global if:
- you created the video yourself; or
- you own the rights to the video; or
- you have all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and consents to use the video on E-Global in the specific way you are using it.
This includes rights relating not only to the video file itself, but also to any protected elements contained in the video.
4. A Video May Contain Multiple Protected Rights
A single video may contain rights owned by different people or entities. For example, a video may include rights in:
- the video recording itself;
- the visual footage;
- music or background audio;
- narration or spoken words;
- graphics, images, or artwork;
- logos and brand identifiers;
- text overlays or subtitles;
- clips taken from another source;
- performances appearing in the video; and
- other protected material.
Having permission to use one part of a video does not automatically mean you have permission to use every part of that video.
5. Publicly Visible Video Does Not Mean Free to Repost
A video being publicly visible on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, a website, a blog, a news page, a streaming platform, or any other public source does not mean it is free to copy or repost on E-Global.
You must not assume you have the right to use a video simply because it is:
- trending;
- viral;
- searchable online;
- visible on social media;
- shared in a public group or channel; or
- easy to download, record, crop, or screenshot.
Public availability does not remove copyright protection.
6. Prohibited Video Uses
Unless you have the necessary rights or legal authorization, you must not do any of the following on E-Global:
- upload someone else’s video as your own;
- repost or re-upload a video taken from another platform;
- record another creator’s video from a screen and post it;
- crop, mirror, resize, or slightly edit another person’s video and present it as new content;
- compile other people’s clips into one video without the required rights;
- use clips from films, TV programs, sports broadcasts, music videos, livestreams, or other protected sources without authorization;
- use another creator’s thumbnail, preview frame, or promotional image without permission;
- remove watermarks, logos, or branding from a video;
- add your own logo, caption, or edit to content you do not have rights to use;
- synchronize unauthorized video with other audio or music; or
- otherwise use another person’s protected video material without permission.
7. Edits, Compilations, and Short Clips Are Not Automatically Allowed
Changing a video does not automatically make it yours or make it lawful to use.
For example, the following actions do not automatically remove copyright concerns:
- trimming a clip;
- changing the speed;
- flipping or mirroring the video;
- zooming in or cropping;
- adding a caption or sticker;
- combining clips into a compilation;
- adding commentary or an intro;
- changing colors or filters; or
- extracting only a short section.
If the underlying video material belongs to someone else, you may still need permission.
8. Commentary, News, Review, and Similar Uses
Some users may believe that commentary, review, educational, or news-related use automatically allows them to use any video. That is not always correct.
Whether a particular use is legally permitted can depend on the facts, applicable law, and the scope of the use. E-Global is not required to accept a user’s unsupported claim that a use is automatically lawful.
If you rely on authorization, legal exception, license, or consent, you should be prepared to provide supporting information if a complaint is made or review is required.
9. Boost Share and Linked Video Entries
E-Global may allow users to submit external links through features such as Boost Share.
In those cases, users may be able to create or submit materials connected to an external video or video page, including:
- a custom thumbnail;
- a title or caption;
- a description;
- a shortened E-Global link;
- a landing-page entry;
- a preview card; or
- other promotional or display materials.
Important:
Submitting a link to a third-party video does not mean the user owns that video or its related materials.
Unless you have the proper rights, you must not use another person’s:
- video frame;
- thumbnail;
- screenshot;
- channel art;
- promotional image;
- logo;
- brand styling; or
- copied description or visual presentation
as part of a Boost Share or other linked-content entry.
If E-Global generates a preview automatically based on available metadata or system functionality, we may still remove, replace, disable, or restrict that material if a rights issue arises.
10. Music and Audio Inside Videos
If your video includes music, sound recordings, background tracks, voice clips, or other audio, you must also comply with our Music and Audio Copyright Rules.
A user may have permission to use video footage but still lack permission to use the music or sound contained in that video.
11. Uploading a Video Means You Accept Responsibility
When you upload or submit video content to E-Global, you are responsible for making sure you have the right to use it.
By submitting video content, you represent that, to the best of your knowledge, you have the necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and authority for the way the content is being used on the platform.
12. No Guarantee of Pre-Screening
E-Global may use moderation tools, reporting systems, or review processes, but we do not guarantee that all video content, thumbnails, previews, clips, or linked video materials will be screened or verified before they appear on the platform or before a complaint is made.
A video may therefore be reviewed, restricted, or removed after upload or after a complaint is received.
13. What We May Do If a Video Raises Copyright Concerns
If we receive a complaint, detect a concern, or reasonably believe that video-related material may infringe copyright or related rights, we may take one or more actions as appropriate.
Depending on the circumstances, E-Global may:
- remove the video;
- mute or disable audio;
- remove or replace a thumbnail or preview;
- restrict access to the video or linked entry;
- limit visibility or distribution;
- disable sharing of the content;
- place the content under review;
- issue a warning;
- restrict account features;
- suspend the account; or
- permanently terminate the account.
We may also take action against linked pages, Boost Share entries, or related promotional materials connected to the reported video.
14. Reporting Video Copyright Concerns
If you believe a video or video-related material on E-Global infringes your rights, you may submit a report through our designated copyright reporting process.
The report should include enough information for us to identify and review the issue, including the complained-about content and the rights claimed.
We may request additional information before making a decision.
15. False or Abusive Reports Are Not Allowed
Reports must be truthful, accurate, and made in good faith.
You must not use the reporting system to harass, silence, pressure, or unfairly target another user.
False, misleading, retaliatory, abusive, or fraudulent reports may result in rejection of the report and may also lead to warnings, restrictions, suspension, or termination of the reporting account.
16. Counter-Notice and Appeal
If your video, thumbnail, preview, clip, or linked entry is removed, restricted, muted, or disabled because of a copyright complaint or review, you may be allowed to submit a counter-notice or appeal where appropriate.
A counter-notice or appeal does not guarantee restoration. E-Global may request additional information and may restore, continue restricting, or permanently remove the content depending on the review outcome.
17. Repeat Violations
Users who repeatedly violate video copyright rules may face stronger enforcement action.
This may include:
- warnings;
- temporary restrictions;
- loss of upload privileges;
- loss of sharing privileges;
- reduced visibility;
- suspension; or
- permanent account termination.
We may consider repeated violations involving uploaded videos, copied clips, reused thumbnails, unauthorized screenshots, or linked-content entries when deciding whether stronger action is necessary.
18. Relationship to Other Policies
These Video Copyright Rules should be read together with our:
- Terms of Services
- Copyright Policy
- Music and Audio Copyright Rules
- Copyright Reporting Process
- Counter-Notice / Appeal Process
If there is a conflict between these rules and another platform policy, E-Global may interpret and apply them in the manner it reasonably considers most appropriate for legal compliance, rights protection, and platform safety.
19. Updates to These Rules
We may update these Video Copyright Rules from time to time.
When we do, we may revise the “Last Updated” date and may take additional steps to notify users where appropriate. Continued use of the platform after updates take effect means you accept the revised rules.
