Music and Audio Copyright Rules

Last Updated: April 3, 2026

These Music and Audio Copyright Rules explain what users may and may not do when uploading, posting, attaching, synchronizing, sharing, linking, displaying, or otherwise using music, audio, sound recordings, voice content, or other audio-related material on E-Global Hive (“E-Global,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

These rules apply together with our Terms of Services, Copyright Policy, Video Copyright Rules, and any other applicable platform policies.

This version reflects E-Global’s current basic music and audio copyright rules. E-Global may expand or update these rules in the future if we introduce platform-approved sounds, audio-rights tools, music matching technology, or additional music licensing systems.

1. Purpose of These Rules

E-Global is a social media and digital engagement platform that may allow users to upload or use audio-related materials in connection with creator content, videos, comments, profile features, linked-content tools, and other supported platform functions.

Music and audio rights can be complex because different rights may exist in a single sound, song, or recording. These rules are intended to help users understand what audio content they may use and what conduct is not allowed.

2. What Counts as Music or Audio Content

For purposes of these rules, “music or audio content” may include, without limitation:

  • songs;
  • instrumental tracks;
  • beats;
  • background music;
  • sound recordings;
  • music compositions;
  • lyrics;
  • voice recordings;
  • narration;
  • spoken-word content;
  • sound effects;
  • remixes, edits, mashups, and compilations;
  • podcast-style audio;
  • clips extracted from videos;
  • live or recorded performance audio; and
  • any other sound-based material used on or through the platform.

These rules also apply where audio is used inside a video, attached to a post, added to creator content, or used as part of a linked-content or promotional entry.

3. Only Use Music or Audio You Have Rights to Use

You may only upload, post, attach, synchronize, submit, share, distribute, display, or otherwise use music or audio content on E-Global if:

  • you created it yourself; or
  • you own it; or
  • you have all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and consents to use it on E-Global in the specific way you are using it.

This applies whether the audio is used on its own or together with video, images, text, or other content.

4. One Song or Audio Track May Involve Multiple Rights

A single piece of music or audio may involve different rights owned by different people or companies.

For example, a song or sound may involve rights in:

  • the sound recording;
  • the underlying musical composition;
  • the lyrics;
  • the vocal performance;
  • the instrumental performance;
  • the production or beat;
  • the sampled material;
  • the cover performance; and
  • any third-party recording or excerpt included in it.

Having permission to use one part of a song or sound does not automatically mean you have permission to use every part of it.

5. Publicly Available Audio Does Not Mean Free to Use

Music or audio being available on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, a blog, a website, a streaming service, a messaging app, or another public platform does not mean it is free to upload, attach, reuse, synchronize, repost, or distribute on E-Global.

You must not assume you have the right to use music or audio simply because it is:

  • publicly visible or audible;
  • trending or viral;
  • easy to download or record;
  • used by other people online; or
  • already attached to another video or page.

Public availability does not remove copyright protection.

6. Prohibited Music and Audio Uses

Unless you have the necessary rights or legal authorization, you must not do any of the following on E-Global:

  • upload someone else’s song, beat, or sound recording as your own;
  • attach unauthorized music or audio to a video or post;
  • extract audio from another person’s content and reuse it;
  • use copyrighted music as background sound without permission;
  • upload unofficial edits, remixes, mashups, or slowed/reverbed versions of protected audio without rights;
  • use movie dialogue, comedy clips, speeches, performances, radio audio, podcast clips, or other protected sound recordings without authorization;
  • use an audio clip recorded from another platform or source without permission;
  • remove credits, labels, or ownership indicators from audio-related material;
  • falsely claim ownership of music, audio, or voice material you do not own; or
  • otherwise use another person’s protected music or audio content without proper rights.

7. Short Clips, Edits, and Modified Audio Are Not Automatically Allowed

Changing a sound does not automatically make it yours or lawful to use.

For example, the following actions do not automatically remove copyright concerns:

  • trimming the audio;
  • speeding it up or slowing it down;
  • changing pitch or tone;
  • looping it;
  • adding effects;
  • mixing it with another sound;
  • using only a short section;
  • using it quietly in the background; or
  • combining it into another video or post.

If the underlying music or audio belongs to someone else, you may still need permission.

8. Voice, Narration, and Spoken Audio

These rules apply not only to songs and music, but also to voice and spoken audio.

You must not upload or reuse protected spoken audio without permission, including where applicable:

  • narration;
  • spoken-word recordings;
  • performance audio;
  • podcast audio;
  • voice clips;
  • recorded speeches;
  • movie or TV dialogue; or
  • other protected voice material.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any spoken audio you submit or attach.

9. Music and Audio Used Inside Videos

If your video includes music, background sound, voice clips, or any other audio, you must have the rights required for that audio as well as the visual content.

Having permission to use the video footage alone does not automatically mean you have permission to use the music or sound within that video.

10. Boost Share and Linked External Content

E-Global may allow users to submit external links through features such as Boost Share.

Even where the original audio is not hosted directly by E-Global, users must not falsely claim ownership of, copy protected metadata from, or improperly use copyrighted music or audio-related materials connected to linked content.

For example, unless you have rights or authorization, you must not use another party’s protected:

  • audio clip;
  • music excerpt;
  • album-style artwork;
  • sound branding;
  • track identity materials;
  • copied descriptions of protected music content; or
  • other protected promotional material

as part of a Boost Share or similar linked-content entry.

Submitting a link to third-party content does not mean the user owns the music, sound, or related materials connected to that content.

11. Platform-Provided Sounds or Approved Audio

From time to time, E-Global may later make certain sounds, audio tools, or approved media options available within the platform.

Unless E-Global clearly states otherwise, users should not assume that any sound, audio option, or platform-visible music reference is automatically free for unrestricted use.

If E-Global later introduces platform-approved sounds, music tools, or audio-rights systems, those features may be subject to separate:

  • usage rules;
  • territorial limits;
  • creator restrictions;
  • feature-specific permissions;
  • content-matching rules; and
  • additional terms or notices.

12. No Guarantee of Pre-Screening

E-Global may use moderation tools, reporting systems, or review processes, but we do not guarantee that all music, audio, sound attachments, voice content, or audio-related materials will be screened, checked, or verified before they appear on the platform or before a complaint is made.

Because of this:

  • some audio-related content may appear before review;
  • copyright issues may be identified only after upload, attachment, publication, report, or complaint; and
  • users and rights holders should use the reporting and appeal processes where appropriate.

13. What We May Do If Music or Audio Raises Copyright Concerns

If we receive a complaint, detect a concern, or reasonably believe that music or audio-related material may infringe copyright or related rights, we may take one or more actions as appropriate.

Depending on the circumstances, E-Global may:

  • remove the content;
  • mute, disable, or replace audio;
  • restrict access to the content;
  • disable certain audio-related features;
  • limit visibility or distribution;
  • place the material under review;
  • disable sharing of the content;
  • issue a warning;
  • restrict account features;
  • suspend the account; or
  • permanently terminate the account.

We may also take action against linked entries, promotional materials, or related content connected to the reported audio use.

14. Reporting Music or Audio Copyright Concerns

If you believe music, audio, or sound-related material on E-Global infringes your rights, you may submit a report through our designated copyright reporting process.

The report should include enough information for us to identify and review the issue, including the content complained about and the rights claimed.

We may request additional information before making a decision.

15. False or Abusive Reports Are Not Allowed

Reports must be truthful, accurate, and made in good faith.

You must not use the reporting system to harass, pressure, silence, or unfairly target another user.

False, misleading, retaliatory, abusive, or fraudulent reports may result in rejection of the report and may also lead to warnings, restrictions, suspension, or termination of the reporting account.

16. Counter-Notice and Appeal

If your music, audio attachment, sound clip, or audio-related content is removed, muted, disabled, or restricted because of a copyright complaint or review, you may be allowed to submit a counter-notice or appeal where appropriate.

A counter-notice or appeal does not guarantee restoration. E-Global may request additional information and may restore, continue restricting, or permanently remove the content depending on the review outcome.

17. Repeat Violations

Users who repeatedly violate music and audio copyright rules may face stronger enforcement action.

This may include:

  • warnings;
  • temporary restrictions;
  • loss of upload privileges;
  • loss of audio attachment privileges;
  • loss of sharing privileges;
  • reduced visibility;
  • suspension; or
  • permanent account termination.

We may consider repeated violations involving unauthorized songs, beats, background music, voice clips, sound recordings, remixes, extracted audio, or linked-content entries when deciding whether stronger action is necessary.

18. Relationship to Other Policies

These Music and Audio Copyright Rules should be read together with our:

  • Terms of Services
  • Copyright Policy
  • Video Copyright Rules
  • Copyright Reporting Process
  • Counter-Notice / Appeal Process

If there is a conflict between these rules and another platform policy, E-Global may interpret and apply them in the manner it reasonably considers most appropriate for legal compliance, rights protection, and platform safety.

19. Updates to These Rules

We may update these Music and Audio Copyright Rules from time to time.

When we do, we may revise the “Last Updated” date and may take additional steps to notify users where appropriate. Continued use of the platform after updates take effect means you accept the revised rules.
