E-Global Hive (βE-Global,β βwe,β βour,β or βusβ) may allow users to submit a counter-notice or appeal when content, audio, thumbnails, previews, linked entries, or other materials are removed, muted, restricted, disabled, or otherwise affected because of a copyright complaint or copyright-related review.
This page explains when a counter-notice or appeal may be submitted, what information may be required, how E-Global may review the request, and what may happen after submission.
This page should be read together with our Terms of Services, Copyright Policy, Video Copyright Rules, Music and Audio Copyright Rules, and Copyright Reporting page.
1. Purpose of This Process
E-Global recognizes that copyright complaints may sometimes involve mistakes, incomplete information, misidentification, disputes about authorization, or other issues that may require further review.
The counter-notice or appeal process gives an affected user an opportunity to explain why they believe a copyright-related action should be reviewed.
This process may apply where content or materials were affected through:
- a copyright complaint;
- a copyright-related moderation review;
- a rights-related restriction;
- audio muting or disabling;
- thumbnail or preview removal;
- Boost Share or linked-content restriction; or
- other copyright-related enforcement action.
2. When You May Submit a Counter-Notice or Appeal
You may submit a counter-notice or appeal if you believe, in good faith, that a copyright-related action affecting your content or account was incorrect or should be reviewed.
For example, you may use this process if you believe that:
- your content was removed by mistake;
- the reported material was misidentified;
- you own the content;
- you had the right, license, or permission to use the content;
- the complaint contains inaccurate information;
- the affected material is not the same material identified by the complaint; or
- the restriction should otherwise be reconsidered.
Submitting a counter-notice or appeal does not guarantee that content will be restored or that account restrictions will be removed.
3. What May Be Appealed
Depending on the feature involved, a counter-notice or appeal may relate to:
- removed video content;
- muted or disabled audio;
- removed images or graphics;
- removed or replaced thumbnails;
- disabled previews;
- restricted landing-page materials;
- disabled Boost Share or linked-content entries;
- account warnings connected to copyright issues;
- feature restrictions connected to copyright enforcement; or
- other copyright-related content actions taken by E-Global.
4. Information to Include
To help us review your request, your counter-notice or appeal should include enough information for us to understand what action you are challenging and why.
Where applicable, your submission should include:
- your contact email;
- your username or account details;
- the content, post, page, thumbnail, audio, preview, or linked material affected;
- the reason you believe the action should be reviewed;
- any explanation of your ownership, authorization, license, consent, or other basis for using the material;
- supporting links, screenshots, or other relevant information; and
- any other information reasonably necessary for review.
If your request does not include enough information, we may be unable to review it fully until more details are provided.
5. Good-Faith Requirement
All counter-notices and appeals must be submitted truthfully, accurately, and in good faith.
By submitting a counter-notice or appeal, you confirm that:
- you believe the request is justified;
- the information you provide is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge; and
- you are authorized to make the request.
You must not use this process to submit requests that are:
- false;
- misleading;
- abusive;
- retaliatory;
- fraudulent; or
- intended to delay, disrupt, or evade legitimate enforcement action.
6. False or Abusive Counter-Notices / Appeals
Knowingly submitting a false, misleading, abusive, retaliatory, or fraudulent counter-notice or appeal may result in:
- rejection of the request;
- continued restriction or removal of the affected material;
- warning or loss of appeal privileges;
- additional account restrictions;
- suspension or termination of the account; and
- any other action E-Global considers appropriate under its policies or applicable law.
7. Review Process
After receiving a counter-notice or appeal, E-Global may review the information provided and may take any action we consider appropriate based on the circumstances.
Depending on the situation, we may:
- request more information from the appealing user;
- review the original complaint or enforcement record;
- compare the reported material with the challenged content;
- request supporting documents or explanations;
- keep the material restricted while review is ongoing;
- restore the material in full or in part;
- continue the restriction or removal;
- modify the action taken;
- issue a warning;
- maintain or expand account restrictions; or
- take any other reasonable action necessary for rights protection, legal compliance, platform safety, or fair enforcement.
We may also decide that no change is appropriate based on the information available.
8. No Guarantee of Restoration
Submitting a counter-notice or appeal does not guarantee:
- restoration of content;
- unmuting of audio;
- return of a thumbnail or preview;
- reactivation of a Boost Share entry;
- reversal of account action; or
- any specific outcome within a specific time.
Some matters may require further investigation, supporting information, or legal review before a decision is made.
9. Temporary or Permanent Outcomes
After review, E-Global may decide to:
- restore the content or material;
- restore only part of the affected content or functionality;
- keep the content removed or restricted;
- keep audio muted or disabled;
- keep a linked entry disabled;
- maintain a warning or feature restriction;
- impose additional restrictions where new information arises; or
- close the matter without restoring the content.
10. Repeat Violations and Prior History
When reviewing a counter-notice or appeal, E-Global may consider the broader account history where relevant, including:
- repeated copyright complaints;
- repeated removals or muting actions;
- repeated unauthorized use of video, music, audio, thumbnails, previews, screenshots, or other protected materials;
- repeated Boost Share or linked-content violations;
- attempts to evade prior enforcement action; and
- previous warnings or restrictions.
A counter-notice or appeal may therefore be reviewed in light of both the individual item and the overall account conduct.
11. No Guarantee of Pre-Screening
E-Global does not guarantee that all uploads, linked entries, thumbnails, captions, audio attachments, or other materials will be screened before publication or before complaint.
Because of this, content may appear first and be reviewed later. The counter-notice or appeal process exists in part to address disputes that may arise after publication, report, or enforcement review.
12. Use of Contact Information
If you submit a counter-notice or appeal, E-Global may use the contact information you provide to communicate with you about the request, request additional details, or notify you of the review outcome where appropriate.
13. How to Submit a Counter-Notice or Appeal
You may submit a counter-notice or appeal through the designated in-app or website process made available by E-Global, where available.
If a dedicated appeal form is available, it should be completed carefully and fully.
